My concert report:
Keep in mind that this is my personal imput on concerts I have been too,
do not let my words detur you from going to see them if you like them.
AFI:
Personally I think they blow live, I have heard their cd and liked it,
but live they blow, I wouldn't pay to see them.
The Dear and Departed:
They opened with AFI, I liked these guys both off and on stage,
I had the chance to hang out with the guys and they are nice and shy.
Papa Roach:
Woooooooooooo I be loving me some Papa Roach, Jacoby rocked the venue.
I was up front and center, I was in crotch sniffers row for this concert LOL,
anyways not only do they kick ass on cd but live they kick ass, after the
concert I stood outside in -20 degree weather waiting for the CHANCE to meet Jacboy,
in the end that paid off, hes a hella nice guy, stopped took some pictures,
signed things, hell he even did my voicemail for me :P
It Dies Today:
Opened for Papa Roach, hmmmm the lead singer is HAWT, they rocked the crowd
just as well, they are very interactive with the crowd, (body surfers oh joy !!!),
after the show I got to meet the guys and hang with them for a little bit, nice guys !!!
Evanescence:
Amy Lee can sing, she is just as awsome live as she is on cd, she was on stage for
well over a hour, singing and playing her panio (which I could sit there all day
and listen to her), only thing I can't say I liked was when she sang "Bring Me To Life",
she sang that with Paul McCoy of 12 Stones for the "DareDevil" soundtrack
(I meet and worked for 12 Stones a couple yrs back), the dude singing was okay I
would give him 3 stars out of 5.
Chevelle:
Opened for Evanescence and OMG I thought AFI sucked, Chevelle takes the cake
when it comes to playing live, I couldn't understand a single word they said,
they just stood there and sang, NO wonder they have NEVER headlined !!!
Finger Eleven:
Also opened for Evanescense, we all know their hit song " One Thing" so here I
thought okay they are going to be a little softer, boy was I wrong !!, over all
they were good, the drummer really gets into it, the fans went crazier for them
then Chevelle.
Daughtry:
So we all watched him on American Idol and knew he was going places,
little did we know how far that he would be the chart topper Idol from last season.
I meet him for about 5 min, I can't say my encounter was the best I have ever had,
he was short and gruffy, which come to find out later the venue had treated him
and the band like crap (bad venue BAD !!!)
He still put on a good show despite the crap he went thru and the lies and
other crap that went on.
Cinder Road formly known as Plunge:
Opened for Daughtry and shock of all shocks, they were damn good,
I ended up getting their cd, I did get a chance to meet all the guys
from the band and spend a few mintues with them *sigh they are so
young and so hawt LOL), I would go see them again !!!, the crowd really
seemed to like them as well.
